Rubber tubing in liquid nitrogen. The end of a piece of rubber tubing is placed in a container of liquid nitrogen (N2). At atmospheric pressure, liquid nitrogen boils at minus 196 Centigrade. The introduction of the end of the tube causes the liquid to boil and expand, forcing liquid nitrogen up the tube to spray out of the other end.
