Timelapse footage of the apparent movement of geostationary satellites across the night sky. Geostationary satellites are placed in an orbit that keeps them above the same location on Earth, so from Earth they appear stationary in the sky. In this footage, though, the camera is tracking the stars, which do appear to move due to the Earth's rotation. This shows the movement of the satellites relative to the stars. The stars here are in the constellation Orion, with the Orion Nebula at centre.
