Indian silverbills or white-throated munia (Lonchura malabarica) preening themselves on a branch of a murraya koenigii tree. Indian silverbills are a small passerine birds, found in the Indian subcontinent, and adjoining regions. Indian silverbills are estrildid finches, and are common breeding birds in India. It has also been introduced to other countries and has become established in a variety of areas. Indian silverbills forage in small flocks in grassland and scrub habitats.
