Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) by the coast. This is the largest lizard in the world, reaching up to three metres in length and weighing some 70 kilograms. It is a carnivore, eating anything from the size of a large insect to a water buffalo. It feeds largely on carrion, although it does take large prey from ambush. Filmed on Komodo, Indonesia.
