Ringlegged earwig Euborellia annulipes uses pincers at the end of its abdomen to flail at tweezers squeezing one of its legs in this laboratory demonstration. Insects use a variety of defense techniques, including pincers, stings, jaws, camouflage, mimicry, and chemical defenses. There are more than 2,000 earwigs species and some can reach lengths of 2 _ 3 cm.
