Braconid wasps Habrobracon hebetor, barely 3mm in size, walking among Indian meal moth Plodia interpunctella larvae seeking to inject their eggs into the larvae磗 bodies. Braconids are parasitoids which means they are parasites only during the larval stage of their life cycles. When the wasp磗 eggs hatch, they will feed on the larvae, eating them from the inside out. These tiny wasps, of which there are thousands of species, are considered beneficial to humans as they control populations of agricultural pests.
