Young common toad Bufo bufo. Toads are generally nocturnal, hiding during the day and emerging at dusk to feed on small invertebrates. They prefer moist conditions, and return to a pond to breed. They secrete a toxic substance, bufagin, to deter predators. Filmed in Denmark.
