Light micrograph of crystals of the amino acids beta-alanine and L-glutamine crystallised from diluted alcoholic solution. The combination of the two solution partners gives completely unexpected and unrepeatable results with regard to crystallization in each new approach. The spectrum ranges from acicular structures to curved crystals strongly reminiscent of botanical objects. Microscopic contrast method : polarization contrast.
