The Hall of Antiquities (Antiquarium), the largest Renaissance hall north of the Alps, was built 1568 and 1571 for the antique collection of Duke Albert V (1550-1579). It was remodelled as a banqueting hall by Friedrich Sustris in 1586-1600 and decorated by Peter Candid, Antonio Ponzano, and Hans Thonauer the Elder. After E. Ewald.
