Ab贖-Mu廎仟mmad Mu廜ρi廎?al-D蘋n bin Abdall?h Sh蘋r?z蘋, Saadi Shirazi (Persian: 塈堥??堶?堹 ?媯?堶 塈?堹?? 堥? 媢堥堹塈??? 奡?堭塈堬??? better known by his pen-name as Sa尪d蘋 (Persian: 堻媢堹??? or, simply, Saadi, was one of the major Persian poets of the medieval period. He is not only famous in Persian-speaking countries, but he has also been quoted in western sources. He is recognized for the quality of his writings, and for the depth of his social and moral thoughts.
