Photo evidence markers help the SOCOs to recall the location of evidence when looking at photographs of the site. The SOCOs are wearing protective clothing in the form of paper suits, overshoes and masks to prevent contamination of the crime scene. 'Police' tape has been used to mark out the boundaries of the crime scene. SOCOs provide scientific support to police forces. They establish what evidence is required from a crime scene and the best way to obtain it.
