Visit of the Prince and Princess of Wales to Sweden: departure from Gottenborg Railway Station - from a sketch by our special artist, 1864. The future King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra in Scandinavia. Their approach was hailed with a salute of artillery...a guard of honour, composed of the Swedish hussars, was drawn up outside the station...The local authorities also erected stands with braziers in them, to show light to the procession, while the carriages of the Royal party moved from the railway station to the wharf.
