Irish cubsesat satellite EIRSAT-1 (Educational Irish Research Satellite) being prepared for launch. EIRSAT-1 was designed, built and tested by students from University College Dublin as part of the European Space Agency (ESA) Academys Fly Your Satellite! programme. The satellite was successfully launched into Earth orbit from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, USA, on the 1st December 2023, becoming Irelands first ever satellite.
