Etching and aquatint; hand-coloured; shows three men on horseback; carrying spears; waiting; as Natives systematically beat sugarcane with bamboo staffs and; with the aid of two dogs; drive a wild hog from cover past the waiting hunters. Also shown are two oxen yoked to a plough; fleeing for their own safety; and Natives around an irrigation well at the edge of the cane field.
