Zoroaster funeral tower near Yazd, Iran, also known as the Tower of Silence, is a monumental burial site built by and for the adherents of the Zoroastrian faith. The dead were placed and left inside this circular hilltop construction to be decomposed by the elements, while feasting by vultures and other predators helped this along.
