Coloured 3D computed tomography (CT) angiogram scan of the head, neck and shoulders of a patient with a subdural haematoma. A haematoma is a localised collection of blood outside of the blood vessels. Subdural haematomas occur between the brain and the dura mater, the outermost of the three meninges membranes that surround the brain. They are usually associated with traumatic brain injury.
