Cumulus clouds. These clouds are often described as puffy, cotton-like or fluffy. They typically have flat bottoms and clearly defined edges. Their name stems from the Latin word cumulo, which means pile or heap. Cumulus clouds are stacks of smaller clouds piled onto each other. They are low-level clouds, generally found 2000 metres above the ground. They appear in the sky frequently and are observed all over the world.
