New Industries Foe Uganda -- Mr. C.R. Westlake, M.I.E.E., chairman of the Uganda Electricity Board with a model of the Owen Falls Hydro-Electric Scheme. The new Tororo cement factory, within sight of the gigantic Owen Falls Hydro-Electric Scheme is to be opened by the end of 1951. The cement which it produces will be used in the construction of the Owen Falls Scheme which in turn will provide electricity for the factory, at present operated by power from diesel generators.
