Large mixed flock of Lesser flamingos (Phoeniconaias minor) and Greater flamingos (Phoenicopterus roseus) in the Talawe wetland in Navi Mumbai (New Bombay), India, a small pocket of wilderness surrounded by high-rises on one side and mangroves on the other. The flamingos arrive to feed on algae in the wetland at high tide. This wetland is now threatened with development. Highly commended in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition 2021, Urban Wildlife category.
