Warts on the forehead of a patient who is HIV positive. Warts are caused by infection with a human papilloma virus (HPV). It leads to mass production of skin in a localised area, producing the characteristic appearance of a wart. HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection weakens the body's immune system making it more susceptible other infections.
