City of Neuruppin; temple garden (German: Tempelgarten): circular plot with flowers and sandstone vase (replica; reconstruction) in the park; In 1732; crown prince Frederick (later on King Frederick II; Frederick the Great) ordered the building of the Amalthea Garden (German: Amaltheagarten). In 1735; architect Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff designed here the temple garden; his first work. In 1853; Neuruppin merchant family Gentz changed all into oriental moorish style. Turkish style Villa Gentz; the gardener`s house (German: G鋜tnerhaus) with minaret and the outer walls with gates; bastion and tower were built.
