Folds in rock, Cemaes Head, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK. A plunging anticline is exposed. These are the highest cliffs in Pembrokeshire, at over 175m in height. The contorted strata comprise Silurian and Ordovician sedimentary rocks and Llanvirn-Caradoc black mudstone folded during the Acadian orogeny 400 million years ago. The boulder cove at the foot of the cliffs is Traeth Godi r Coch.
