Members of the ATLAS collaboration celebrating the first Run 3 beam splashes in the control room, at CERN (the European particle physics laboratory) in Switzerland. The ATLAS (A Toroidal LHC Apparatus) detector is one of six detector experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) particle accelerator at CERN. ATLAS is a broad-range detector that measures all particles and physical processes that emerge during proton collisions within the LHC.
