Interior view of the Orion capsule during the Artemis I mission. Strapped in the seat at left is the 'Campos Moonikon' astronaut dummy and floating at lower centre right is a Snoopy toy that is serving as the mission's zero gravity indicator. At centre is the Callisto communications system, a technology demonstration to test voice-activated and video technology. Artemis I, which launched on the 16th November 2022, is the first uncrewed test flight of NASA's Artemis program. It will orbit both the Earth and Moon and travel beyond the Moon. The furthest distance Orion will be from Earth is 450,000 kilometres. This is longer and further than any spacecraft designed to carry humans has flown before. The Artemis program aims to land the first woman and the next man on the Moon by 2024. Photographed on 16th November 2022.
