Construction of the Projectile spectator detector (PDS), which will be used for the NA61/SHINE experiment at the super proton synchrotron (SPS) accelerator in CERN (the European particle physics laboratory) in Switzerland. The PSD is a calorimeter that measures the energy of projectile fragments resulting from particle collisions.
