It became necessary, therefore, to train them for other kinds of work, this drawing shows soldiers that were blinded and had amputated hands being helped by women teachers in a knitting workshop at an institution situated at Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, for 'professional re-education', 'Permanent Blind Relief War Fund' founded by Mr. and Mrs George A Kessler, of New York.
