Scotland; Aberdeenshire; Ballater: five o`clock tea in the tea room of "The Carriage" (bistro; coffee shop; tea room); since 2018 in the Old Royal Ballater Railway Station; built 1866; rebuilt 2015 - 2018; In 2015; historic Old Royal Ballater Railway Station burned down. The station; built 1866; operated until 1966 and was later on used as visitor centre ; museum and restaurant. As Balmoral Castle is only 14 km west of Ballater; starting with Queen Victoria lots of members of the British Royal Family arrived here. After the fire of 2015; HRH Prince Charles founded "The Prince`s Foundation" to reconstruct the Royal Ballater Railway Station and further buildings around. In autumn 2018; all opened again. In the old railway station; now is the bistro; coffee shop and tea room "The Carriage".
