Colombia; city of Paipa; Casone del Salitre (today: Hotel Hacienda El Salitre): loggia style covered doorways with columns with in Colonial style; the historic hacienda dates back nearly 290 years. Most of the buildings were built in Colonial style architecture. The San Antonio de Padova (Saint Anthony of Padua) chapel of the hacienda (farm) was built in 1780. On 4th of August 1819; General Simon de Bolivar and General Soublette met here with their military staff after the decisive victory at the Vargas Swamp Battle; on 25th of July; 1819.
