Pattern with two interlocking symmetrical compositions. Both compositions show a Chinese man sitting in a lotus position. In one composition he is under a canopy. In the other; he sits in a vase and under a flower garland with a flower wreath. The full work is made with festival stitches and decorated with recesses. The motifs are filled with a variety of decorative grounds and feature relief contour lines. The large scallops along the bottom stem from the pattern. The top is finished with a bobbin lace edge.
