Jabot of mixed lace with rosette flowers; Jabot of natural-colored mixed lace - bobbin lace in combination with needle-stitch stitches and machine tulip soil - Luxeuil lace. More or less drop-shaped model; made up of three superimposed parts. The three parts are stitched together at the top. The upper 'drop' is the shortest; followed by a longer one with the broad edge below this short one; and the lower one being the longest. A piece of machine grommet is placed under the overlapping parts. The symmetrical pattern consists of one large rosette flower in the lower center with a smaller rosette flower directly above it. These flowers are flanked by one or two smaller rosettes. The rosette flowers are made with a wreath of many short waves as petals. Contours have been made between the flowers with cloned ribbons (ribbon lace); with pleats where the contours make a curve or curl. The motifs are made in linen with openwork edges and recesses that form the veins of the petals. Contour threads along one side of the cloned ribbons and the flower wreaths. The flower hearts and residual spaces between the flowers and ribbons are filled with coarse and fine needle-stitch decorative stitches.; anonymous; Europe; c. 1900; cotton (textile); Luxeuil lace; l 26 cm x w 11 cm
