Hooded cloak or comb cloth made of scalloped edge and bobbin lace inserts with concatenated circles; Hooded coat or comb cloth made of natural-colored batist and natural-colored spool lace. Semi-circular model; formed by five batist strips with bobbin lace inserts. The bottom strip of batiste is finished with an edge bobbin lace with oval-shaped scallops. The top strip of batiste is wider than the other strips and is strongly wrinkled on a coarse linen border. A narrow version of the collar is attached to this collar; which partially overlaps the wide collar. The narrow collar consists of three batist strips with two bobbin lace inserts and is finished with a scalloped edge. The strips of the narrow collar are not wrinkled; but smoothly set up and given shape by dart seams. The cleaved spacers have a continuous pattern of two regularly wavy lines that intersect and thus form a concatenation of circles. The lines are made in linen. Around the circles the insert is formed by braids; in the circles a wheel of braids. Each oval-shaped shell has a border of small oval lobes. In the center of each shell is a symmetrical pattern of two leaves that form a heart with above it a flower with three leaves. Bottom right; the initial R is embroidered on the inside with brown thread.; anonymous; Northern Netherlands; c. 1735 - c. 1745; linen (material); bobbin lace; h 60 cm x w 97 cm x h 38 cm x c 168 cm x h 15.5 cm x c 48.5 cm
