Strip of bobbin lace with flying birds between flower pots on tables; Natural strip of bobbin lace; pot lace. The strip runs around slightly. The repeating pattern consists of two different flower pots; both on tables. A bird flies between successive bouquets. The bouquets are highly stylized; with splitting and curling flower branches forming a kind of cloud or lobed oval carthouches. In the largest 'cloud' is a carnation; with a rosette flower above it. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground. The motifs are made in linen; with thicker and shiny contour threads. Various decorative grounds have been applied; including a snowy ground. The top and bottom are finished straight; with one of the sides finished with picots.; anonymous; Antwerp; c. 1750 - c. 1799; linen (material); pot lace; l 102 cm 脙鈥?w 15 cm 脙鈥? 37.5 cm
