Echarpe or runner from needlepoint of Queen Wilhelmina; Echarpe or runner from natural colored needle lace; Brussels mesh side. A rectangular center piece with mesh soil is filled with rising hyacinths and flowering tulip bulbs facing the center; while the edges are filled with lily of the valley; which are composed in a cross shape. At the ends is the Dutch Royal Coat of Arms; within a wreath of oak branches. Surrounded by this is a second shield shape; crowned with the inscription JE MAINTIENDRAI; which is hung with ribbons and bows on a circular arc that surrounds a broad border; on which ten putti move in reidans; orange-apples scattering from baskets and horns of abundance. This border is accompanied by a border with coats of arms of the nine Belgian provinces (Brabant; Li鑗e; Hainaut; Antwerp; West Flanders; East Flanders; Limburg; Namur and Luxembourg); which are as it were fascinated by a heavy chain. At the ends there is a scalloped edge; in which four times a reserve with orange branches encased with inscriptions: between two crowned W's the dates 1914 and 1915; on the other side 1916 and 1917. Above one of the initials is the signature I.
