Chalice; The round chalice has a cast; arched foot on which in high relief an ox; an eagle; an angel and a lion; the symbols of the four Evangelists. These are interspersed with scenes from the life of Christ in low relief on a punched ground: the Birth; the Crucifixion; the Resurrection and the Ascension. The base has a flat bottom edge that is surrounded by curling; flame-like ornaments. These ornaments are more powerful and mirrored; repeated along the base. The narrow tapered upper part of the foot is decorated with acanthus leaves. The stem consists of an inversely pear-shaped nodus between two narrow; articulated nodes. These parts are decorated with vines and grain sheaves; the lower part of the large nodus with acanthus leaves; all on rough ground. The low; smooth cuppa is encased in a countercuppa on which four angels are driven between vines; three of which bear the agony tools and the fourth the cloth of Saint Veronica. The top edge of the countercuppa consists of soft; curling ornaments; crucified Christ with Mary and John on either side of the cross; Holy Red; the four symbols of the evangelists; the apocalyptic beasts; bunch of grapes; Johannes Lutma (1624-1689) (attributed to); Amsterdam; 1663; silver (metal); gilding; h 28.5 cm d 21.0 cm w 1217 gr
