On the stitching that holds the sheets together; a band of ribs. Square tongue on the instep. Two flaps run over the tongue from the side leaves. The right flap has an iron hook that you can hook onto a loop on the left flap. The front of the heel runs downwards slightly in a rounded corner from the geleng. The side and back of the heel are slightly fitted and lined with light blue silk. White stitching runs along the edge of the heel. The heel has a dark brown leather rim from the back. Side sheets and front sheet lined with beige linen. A strip of ivory white leather is attached to the underside of the side panels and the front panel adjoining the insole; probably to reinforce the shoe. The insole is made of dark brown leather. Roughened leather back with four wooden nails tied to the heel and roughened leather sole. Decoration: Flowers and leaves can be seen in the drawing of the damask.
