FRAGMENT OF A BUDDHA HEAD. BRONZE.
Thailand. Sukhothai. About 15th c.
Thin bronze with shiny dark patina and inside residue of the casting core. With nearly closed eyes and a serene look; the hair in fine spikes. The face nearly untouched; just the right side with the ear missing and the flame on the head. Height 17cm. Supplement: On a base.
