Beijing (Peking); Yonghe Temple (built 1694): incense burner in front of Hall of Heavenly Kings (Tianwang Dian) and pavilion of steles; The former residence of Prince Yinzhen; in 1744 was rebuilt by Qianlong Emperor into a lamaistic temple to honor his father. Therefore; also names Yonghe Lamasery and Lama Temple are popular. The Tibetan temple; one of the biggest outside Tibet; has magnificent gates and a high ghost wall. Inside; it has five main halls. The buildings and artworks of the temple combine; Han Chinese; Mongolian; and Tibetan styles.
