Yuzhong District is the historic core of Chongqing; a major metropolis and inland port on the mid-Yangtze River. The Yuzhong Peninsula rises steeply between the Yangtze and Jialingjiang Rivers. Flat land is scarce; building are close togther and high-rise. Main roads are elevated. The area has a feel of high urban density.
