Chad. Ennedi Rock Art. Underrock in Hom閏hi. The paintings of this great fresco belong to the final pastoral and cameline periods; between 4000 and 2500 B.C. They present cattle and herders; characters; giraffes and horses. They bear witness to the gradual drying-up leading just before our era to the desert of today. From time to time; the shelter is occupied by local nomads who hide their equipment and their shattered mat hut in a hole in the cave.
