He was the third of five sons of King Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine. He was known as Richard C???泉r de Lion or Richard the Lionheart because of his reputation as a great military leader and warrior. This heroic equestrian statue was created by Baron Carlo Marochetti and is located in Old Palace Yard outside the Palace of Westminster, opposite Westminster Abbey in London.
