Cerebellum, light micrograph. The surface of a primate cerebellum is highly folded into branching folia which accommodates many more neurons compared with a smooth surface. The central core of folia stained orange-brown is the white matter covered with grey matter (yellow-grey stain). Paraffin section, Bielschowsky and neutral red stain. Magnification: x2 when width printed at 10cm.
