Crows Outside Old Bailey As Airman Is Tried On Double-Murder Charges -- A large crowd watching people leaving the Old Bailey during the Lunch-hour recess. Large crowds gathered around the Old Bailey, London's central criminal court, in the hope of seeing witnesses and other people wang a prominent part in the trial when George Neville Heath, 29-year-old air pilot, appeared on double murder charges. Heath is accused of the murder of Mrs. Margery Gardner, 35-year-old film extra, at an hotel in the Notting Hill district of London, end of 21-year-old Miss Doreen Marshall, former member of the Women's Royal naval service, at a deserted spot near Bournemouth, Hampshire. Heath is being triad first for the Gardner crime; if he is acquitted of this, the Crown will bring forward the Marshall case. September 24, 1946.
