La Scala Strike Ends -- The La Scala choir in rehearsal under its conductor and trainer Veneziani. The Chorus and Orchestra of La Scala, Milan, ended their ten day strike on Wednesday. The strike concerned their right to make recordings. They have agreed to work exclusively for the Opera House from January 1, 1953.
