In The Garden Of England: Blossom Time At Newington. Plum, cherry, and pear trees are now in full bloom in the fruit-growing districts of Kent, and growers are looking forward to good crops this year. Our picture was taken at Newington, near Sittingbourne. The church, with its fifteenth-century tower, one of the finest examples of its kind, is shown in the background. August 6, 1934.
