The Green ***** Adopt The Glockenspiel Waiting to ***** parade with the band of the Green ***** Regiment is Corporal H. Mett, of Freetwood, with an instrument rarely seen in British military bands. It is a glockenspiel and is similar to a xylophona with Metal keys. The band saw it being played in American and German bands when they did a tour of duty in Germany recently and decided to get one for themselves. Corporal Mett quickly learned to play it and new it adds a distinctive note to the music when the bend of the Green Howards is on parade. December 6, 1955. (Photo by Reuterphoto).
