New Aid For Fire Fighting -- A Man Dressed in one of the new suits, gives a practical demonstration by walking through a mass of flames, and emerging none the worse for it. A new fire fighting suit has been invented, made of asbestos, which will be of great aid to firemen. A person wearing one of the new suits, can walk right through flames without the least effect. The suit entirely covers the person wearing it, and a window fitted in the head gear, for the wearer to see through, and yet have his eyes protected. Asbestos shields have also been designed, behind which, firemen can advance upon a fire, and use their hoses, without the fear of getting burnt. February 29, 1936. (Photo by Keystone
