To Wish Them A Happy Christmas..... A section of the Christmas market with its decorative windmill and set-pieces and the huge "Christmas 'Peace' 1955" slogan. In the former pleasure garden in Marx-Engles -Platz in East Berlin, the East Germans have erected a large Christmas market. Everything possible has been done to give the market a festive air and it is only on a closer inspection can the visitor notice the many inadequacies compared with the western Christmas fare.
