Mrs. Curtis and Stella see Judy again to say goodbye. Almost the last thing that Gladys Curtis?s 'husband said to her before he died was: "Don?t ever let Judy go. She will look after you". Judy was the little wire-haired terrier that her husband gave her before they were married a few years ago. Mrs. Curtis promised her husband that she and Judy would never be parted. And trying to keep that promise cost fifty-year-old Mrs. Curtis ?43 yesterday. That was the sum, including costs, that she was fined at Wallington (Surrey) for taking Judy from the quarantine Kennels in which she was isolated after being brought from Australia. The magistrates were told that Mrs. Curtis., with sixteen-year-old Stella Guntrip - a shop assistant from Sale, Cheshire, Where Mrs. Curtis used to live - crept into the kennels at, night and took Judy away.
