The Senior Vice President of the Police Association, Sergeant L.H. Griffiths, of No. 11 Division, modelling the proposed new summer uniform for N.S.W. police at the association's annual conference yesterday. The Premier, Mr. Cahill, said the uniform did not impress him. The Commissioner of Police, Mr. C.J. Delaney, said he would not condemn the uniform or praise it. He asked the conference to defer any decision until the department had made a through survey of a light hopsack uniform. April 19, 1955.
