Western Zone ... Epic Of Staaken -- The Soviet authorities are very touchy and do not want unauthorized persons in their newly aquired territory. They are especially opposed to photographers and all glimpses of the area are obtain from the sector border with tele-optic lenses. Staaken, focal point of all Germany recently, of 5000 inhabitants, is a town that until recently has been under the jurisdiction of the Western Zone, but now finds that it should have been under Russian control all the time.
